sjam1700.mp3 "Strawberry Jam" played with some guys named Bill, drums, and John, bass, at the Black Box rehearsal studio in downtown Atlanta on January 7, 2000. Sound sucks but bith Bill and Jon's playing kicks ass, while Jim on guitar was having a bad night and playing B sharp instead of B. :-)
eleback.mp3 Jim's playing is much better on this rehearsal of the lead guitar bit for the second half of "Watching the Elephant".
Unreleased songs/demo tapes
Most of these have sucky sound quality.
frog.mp3 "I Wanna Be Your Frog" This appears to be the first in a series of tapes designed to remind Jim of his song ideas. Sounds like it was inspired by an old song called "I Wanna Be Your Dog". :-)
godaddy.mp3 A modified version of this song fragment showed up briefly on Mp3.Com during the holiday season as part of a not so great song called "Santa Claus Bop".
gotohell.mp3 "Going to Hell"
grave.mp3 "I Wanna Dance on Yer Grave"
kittysnewdoll.mp3 All the other songs appear to have been written by James. This song appears to be written by Jim's daughter Victoria.
mellohead.mp3 This is a series of chords more than a song. Reminds me of something by John Couger Mellonhead.
riff.mp3 Another series of chords.
trinke2.mp3 This is weird and sung in German. I asked a friend at school and he says that it sounds like something from the Johann Strauss operetta "Die Fleidermaus". It's awful, I can see why Jim abandoned work on it.
whiterabbit.mp3 This is weird too. My guess is that it was inspried by Lewis Carrol or maybe Jefferson Airplane's song of the same name.
